At AgroFors, innovation is driven by research and development long before a seed reaches the market. Our Product Development Team is committed to identifying, evaluating, and introducing seed varieties that meet the diverse requirements of South African agriculture. By combining world-class genetics with local expertise, we ensure that every variety is rigorously tested, adapted, and positioned to deliver measurable value to farmers.

Two strategically located trial farms in Oubaai (George) and Besemkop (Calitzdorp) form the foundation of our evaluation program. At these sites, varieties undergo comprehensive screening to assess yield potential, adaptability, persistence, and overall performance - giving farmers confidence in both quality and reliability. In addition, selected varieties are validated across multiple climatic zones and production systems throughout South Africa to ensure consistent results under practical farming conditions.
